  1. wheels losing laquer

That wasn't quite the colour I was think of!
  2. wheels losing laquer

my 2005 had laquered wheels, the front peeled first and was replaced under warantee, the rear didnt go until after the warantee expired. Both wheels are coming off this week end for an appointment at the powder coaters next week, just got to decide on the colour, I'm tempted to do them black...
  3. Has anyone tried one of these on R3?

Michel Thanks for that, I'm embarrased to say my German is not as good as your english and the language converter on the www doesn't work. Please let me know what it is made of, does it fit our bar diameter, and what does the price shown include On a different subject, earlier in the...
  4. Has anyone tried one of these on R3?

Where have you mounted it, I really like the idea of having one, but not keen on sticking bits like this where they dont look right. As I said before I had the acumen one on the switch box for the spot lights over the hole where the handle bar heater switch would have been. However I have...

  6. Has anyone tried one of these on R3?

I've just done a google on the gipro and you need a Gipro T01 which is not listed on that web site try this one http://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/GIpro.html Let me know how you get on I might try again, although the mounting position I originally used (on the driving lamp swith block) is no...
  7. Has anyone tried one of these on R3?

Be careful guys, I think the plug & play wire loom relates to the Acumen version and that doesnt work on the Rocket. If you do a search you will see my bike was the test unit and they never managed to make it work. They spent hours on it both in their work shop and at my house and they gave up.
  8. Non R111...........Chevy Question....USA Guys

  9. Tors question

If you are concerned about fuel consumption why by a 2300cc motorbike?
  10. Triumph Cat Bypass, Does It Work With Stock Pipes?

Your dealer is wrong, mine was supplied in that config as thats what my dealer said was a good compromise to achieve a better breathing bike without the noise of the TOR's. I've since replaced the stock pipes with the TOR's (+ Tuneboy) as I wanted more noise and even better performance
  11. Switches For Handlebars

  12. Switches For Handlebars

Have a look at this thread, there is a picture of my mod with the Harley switch towards the bottom http://www.r3owners.com/viewtopic.php?t ... sc&start=0
  13. Rivco Center Stand

I have one, got from dealer, paid about £80 for it as it had been used. If you want to use it to get the rear wheek out, I think you will need to take the front wheel out first and lower the forks down to increase the clearence at the back, or put the stand pivot points on a couple of...
  14. OK. Had Tuneboy Awhile now...

Look under the tool tray, its a black wire and mine is clipped down between the battery and fuses.
  15. Datatool alarm system. Noisey when wet.

Yep mine did exactly the same the last time I washed it, about 2 weeks ago. I set to the valet mode and drove it till it got really hot and let some wind do its thing on it at about 100mph for a while. That made it a lot better but didn't cure it completely, that was achieved by taking it to...
  16. A question for my UK bro's

Triumph dont make a switch to go in the space or the original housing with the switch still installed. I tried to get either to switch the fog lights so I coud loose the ugly switch supplied with the lights, however was unsuccesful. Whilst searching I did find out that the last bike it was...
  17. Check your Gear selector linkage

Hi folks On the way home late in the dark, suddenly without warning I had no gear selector. The lever was still present but not attached to the gear box. Check the top link - its a ball joint with a threaded shaft that screws into the gear box actuator arm from the inside. There is a foam...
  18. Rocket headlamp angle setting in the UK

Ian I'm not sure what your question is? (well it does come from a QS!!- only joshing) but if you are trying to improve the lighting whilst keeping the set up ok for an MOT pass I doubt you will achieve it. The lights on the R111 are notoriously bad. Change the bulbs to some good white ones...
  19. Blanked off RH switch

I think I was told the last one it was on was about 2000/2001, when then changed to hard wired headlights
  20. Blanked off RH switch

I've tried to purchase the Boneville switch front (or even the complete switch) that was the last Triumph to use that switch onour diameter handle bars. It was for the headlights before they were made hard wired. I've tried all the breakers as well, but had no luck. If you find some on your...
