    Mirrors...

I tried that and it’s fine as long as you’re not lane filtering. Going between vehicles just doesn’t work though as the bar end mirrors are practically the same height as car mirrors making it almost impossible to get through with the handlebars being as wide as they are.

    Mirrors...

My mirrors cleared the reservoir too, but all I could see was my shoulders.

    Mirrors...

Yeah I agree it’s not the prettiest solution but it’s actually not that noticeable with all black parts if your not looking for it.

    Mirrors...

So I used the same clamps but the highway hawk mirrors were expensive and seem to only be available in the UK so tried a bunch through Amazon and ended up with these which work very well with no vibration. However one problem I encountered is that the mirror stems don’t extend far enough out...

Now owing Rocket 3, how do you tolerate other bikes? What would your next bike be?

I’m very happy with my Rocket and Scout and don’t see getting anything else for quite awhile. While my Scout isn’t comparable in terms of pure numbers, it is still very nimble and quick and equally fun to ride. If I had to compare the two, to me my scout is like a 65 Chevelle and my rocket is...

My attempt to make the GT an actual GT

I’ve been perfectly happy with my GT for the most part but I have an Indian for long distance riding. The only main thing I changed was to get rid of the bar end mirrors because as much as I like the look it was hell filtering through traffic and I hit car mirrors on least two occasions and had...

What do you think about the riding modes? Do you find them useful?

Not sure if that’s a real question or sarcasm lol but I definitely can sense when the rear tire starts to give way and fishtail even with traction control on. Maybe I could lean into it with more throttle and trust the traction control will prevent it from breaking loose completely but I don’t...

How do I get read off the pops on deacceleration ?

It has to do with fueling and smoothing out your AFRs in closed and open loop. You likely would either have to get some wideband O2 sensors and do it yourself (I don’t know if the rocket even has a tuner that allows you to log runs and adjust tables) or get someone who can dyno tune it.

Something Is Leaking on The Left Muffler

I had the same thing and it turned out to be the o rings around the gear sensor. Do a search and you can find several threads on it, it seems to be a more common issue.

    Exhaust + tune

Hmm are the pegs way more back on the Storm? On my GT they are very close to the rear brake and doesn’t require much foot travel.

    Exhaust + tune

Very nice. Do you notice any heat differences yet on your leg with the different headers?

Will a slip-on Exhaust void the warranty on a '25 Storm?

I disagree unless the Rocket is somehow an exception. Normally slip ons provide minimal performance gains, they certainly don’t affect fueling or require a remap, and mainly are just for different aesthetics and sound. That’s usually why they never void warranties because it has minimal effect...

BT Moto Offering Tuning of 2025 Storm

I’ve no doubt that most any well developed canned tune is going to be a significant improvement over stock. Canned tunes have their limitations though as they are created on a different bike and developers have to be more cautious with the tables and fueling parameters to avoid running too lean...

BT Moto Offering Tuning of 2025 Storm

Based on the website you can only mail in the ECU for 2025 models and the hand held unit is for 2024 and earlier years. To me, the price seems pretty excessive for what is basically a canned tune. For my Indian scout, I was able to go through FM for half that price and get access to all their...

    Tires etc.

When the time comes I guess I’ll be trying the cruisetec’s. Shame the avons are not an option anymore and I’m not going with the exedra, the last thing I need is for the bike to be even higher.

    The oil leak got me.

Not sure if the link will work but I started a thread with a few photos on this when it happened to mine and yeah it was basically a few orings even though it looked like something with the engine block itself. https://www.r3owners.net/attachments/img_8186-jpeg.133264/

What do you think about the riding modes? Do you find them useful?

I started out primarily in road mode but then switched to sport once I got more comfortable with the torque and stay on sport all the time now really. It’s my daily commuter and I’m in traffic a lot with stop and go sometimes but the twitchiness doesn’t bother me. Maybe because my other bike is...

First service, what did people pay? I was just quoted $380

Good to know, I appreciate it. I was thinking for next time to call St George or even ones in Cali. It either will be that or I’ll start doing it myself cause I’m not paying that for an oil change every year.
