Now owing Rocket 3, how do you tolerate other bikes? What would your next bike be?

I've got a GSX 1400, used to have 2 but sold 1 since getting the R3GT. The 14 was never sold in the US, so doubt most of you guys will know the bike, they're an early 2000's Suzuki muscle bike. Super strong engine & a very capable all rounder. The Rocket will be my last bike, I love it to...

Braking in the Corner? Yes or No?

Yeah, I spotted 35 as well. Think I can just about remember being 35, it was over 30 years ago so not easy. LOL Pretty much bullet proof at 35, ya lucky bugger!

    2025 R3 Charging System Specs/Potential Issues

If they'd spec'd the bike from the get go with a LIPO battery things would be fine, but changing from the AGM to LIPO has it's drawbacks with a system set up for AGM. I just leave mine on a tender & will replace the AGM with like when the time comes. The tender also negates any parasitic...

    Hill Hold feature

Here's a Triumph site with blurb about the bike. (looks a sweet bike, I should get one!) Scroll down to Ride-Enhancing Tech section, page 2 of this section talks about the IMU & braking & page 5 is Hill Hold function. It says it's applied using the front brake, but it can also be applied using...

    Any quickshifter tips??

I wonder if you could jack it up so the back wheel is off the ground & do it that way? I'd say it'd work, but 10 sec in 6th gear on a stand . . . maybe not eh.

    Additional Aux plug fitted today

The Aux plug finally arrived so I set about installing it. The hardest part is getting the plug & wire to where it's needed, took ages. 2nd hardest part (for me) was getting the rubber boot on over the plug. I tried normal way, then inside out then inside out with lube, nope wasn't having it...

Just got back from my first test ride ..... OMG!

Glad you like the rocket 3, I'd say get a gen 2 version in the colour you want, put a Penner Tune into it & a quickshifter, you won't go wrong IMO.

    Any quickshifter tips??

The attached was posted by another member who got it from a Triumph Tech dude. It 100% works every time if you follow the procedure & it's quick to do. Just ride somewhere using every gear for at least 10 seconds. After you've done 10 sec in 6th the TSA is all go again.

What do you think about the riding modes? Do you find them useful?

Get her out on the open road & give it a big handful, miles of smiles!

    Any quickshifter tips??

I don't believe they're called "Saved" it's just what you select / set the TFT display to. It's the Date and Time and Quickshifter that need to be set again. You'll also notice you have reset to zero the trip meter & fuel, but there's nowt you can do about those ones.

    Braking during cornering

My understanding of it is it's controlled by the ECU & the ABS modulator in a very similar way the hill hold is. The fact the hill hold can be applied (to the rear wheel) by using the front brake sorta backs up Triumphs claim about being linked. Yes, you can also activate Hill hold using the...

Dropped Tire Pressure to Improve Ride

Tire pressures would also be influenced by rider weight, correct? A 50kg (110lb) bean stalk is going to get away with lower tire pressures over a 150kg (330lb) bear.

    Braking during cornering

I know this is an old thread, but since it's been revived I'll continue. After reading all the posts here, there is 1 aspect that isn't being mentioned & it's the fact of the front & rear being linked. My understanding is even though only the front is applied a small portion is also applied to...

    Any quickshifter tips??

Jagster, just an FYI for ya, the TSA is initially turned on in the ECU yes (BTW you can do this yourself with a Triumph scan tool) but when you disconnect the battery, the re-enable is carried out on the bikes TFT screen menu. Had my battery disconnected several times & have had to select...
