Sorry for late reply, have been out of action since late January with shoulder surgery. Can finally use right arm & come Monday I get left shoulder done.
Bike’s been on road again since Xmas although only got a few rides in before operation.
Haven’t got around to pannier fix yet and front guard repair has developed a lovely
patina.

Two years on, apologies for tardy reply to anyone interested in developments. Had both shoulders done (dermal allografts) which required about 6 months off work.
Anyway decided to repair LHS pannier as anything coming up for sale was either RHS or pairs. People don’t seem to crash these things on right hand side.
Have clear coated repairs ( front guard & panniers in 2 pac semi gloss) till I decide what colour(s) to repaint it.
Considering it was a repairable write off I’m thinking off just leaving as is and pinstriping over repairs for a sh_tstir.
Anyway here’s a peek at handywork.

There has been a brand new old stock LHS lid for one her in Australia too. A dark Blue from memory, but seller on holidays and site shut down till July.

Thank you Ishrub for posting. Repair has worked great so far, would have saved a bit of work had these things been available at the time but we have to observe “Murphy’s Law”
