Anyone tried XB Extremeblasters?

I am looking into this also, love the SuperTrapp sound.

Currently I'm running a SuperTrapp muffler mated to Viking Exhaust header. It was initially was going to be a little experiment but decided that it will stay...lol

First I watched the Extremeblaster video and saw that it was really just a simple SuperTrapp muffler. Found a new muffler on ebay and all other parts pictured at Summit Racing. In my case I needed a 2" inch stainless steel extension pipe with a 15º bend. Took it to a local exhaust shop and let them open up one end so it would slide over the header. Polished up the pipe a little bit and slid it on. Nothing to it.

The grand total never reached what Extremeblaster wanted for just the muffler and I like the way mine looks. Like I said it was going to be just a experiment but after firing up the bike I new it was going to stay. I had just regular TORS before hand. Couldn't stay off the bike after that.... rode out a tank of gas no time flat. lol

One thing I noticed is with the cone cap on the end I gain a tad bit of torque/hp. I take it off I lose it. This is using the butt dyno of course.... have not put the bike on dyno. It is amazing what a little back pressure will do. Most of the time I run it without cone or discs. I'm addicted to the straight out the muffler sound. :D

I would like to get the bike properly dynoed. Got tunes from Hanso that seems to work great but I'm always questioning..... can I get more? :p

As well as better fuel mileage, throttle response, and of course better running fuel tables.... if you know what I mean. Right now the bike tries to rip my arms off but then again... can the bike run even better? I assume even using a tune that was gave to me came from a different bike. I'm thinking all bikes are different even though the have very close similarities.

There is basically two options I have at this point I believe. One is find a dyno operator than nows how to utilize TuneECU or two buy a Power Commander V and let them have at it. Most dynos in my area use the PCV but seem to know Harleys more than anything. I haven't shook the bushes and found a dyno operator than know metric bikes and talk to them personally. Some claim they do but my paranoid radar goes off and I back out. Plus I'm talking more money here of course. It would be great to use TuneECU and not have to buy PCV. That money would go to paying for the dyno session.

There might be better options to just go with the PCV over TuneECU ..... or combination of both. Like for instance does PCV open the secondaries like TuneECU? I realize that the secondaries can be removed altogether but just wondering how PCV handles the secondaries operations. As you can tell I've never used PCV.

Mully, yours looks great but I love a pipe on both sides. The cross pipe muffler box works as a cross pipe, but I wonder how much sound it takes away. So what do you suggest? I just took off the stock pipes and it looks like the outside diameter of the pipe coming out of the muffler box is only 1.5".

Can't really tell you that the cross over box will take away the sound. I can say that it wouldn't help matters any. A straight through pipe is going to move air/exhaust/sound much easier. This is me thinking out loud .... I'm not a exhaust expert.

Not really sure what you're wanting to do exactly. You say you like a muffler on both sides however going with a SuperTrapp muffler is going to be a lot easier coming straight off the manifold.

First thing you need to know is that whatever size the SuperTrapp muffler says it is that is the size it will slid over a pipe.
Like if the specs are 2" SuperTrapp .... that muffler will slide over a 2" inch pipe.... Outside Diameter.

Triumph Rocket 3 exhaust XB Extremeblaster tunable pipe slip on to header
They look quite tidy, not too expensive and light weight. I want to know what they are like if set up not to be too loud. Anyone tried them?

I prefer a complete header system - better bang for the bucks.
I do wish to complement your avatar! :D
When I was around that age (younger than my avatar at 4), my Dad carried me just like that, zipped in his leather jacket for long rides. Great memories! :inlove

Talked to CVSinthehouse and what he's doing I don't believe ever has been done on a Roadster. It's going to look and sound really good. Once completed he can add a header later on with no problems.
