  1. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

Sorry Nev contacted me about the price I quoted, obviously exchange rates fluctuate and I included shipping in that so I rounded up to $2000. The current U.S. amount for the parts is $1585. He said shipping varies but I'd figure another 100 to 200
  2. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

Yes. Wouldn't be the first time I've done engine work.
  3. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

Pistons and cams and it comes out to be roughly $2000. Add whatever exhaust and intake you want, but you have to do that for carpenter too.
  4. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

Does carpenter have a package that's comparable to Nevs? 200+ with a 7k rev limit?
  5. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

For the price of shipping I'd just as soon put it on a trailer and tow it there. Nev sounds like the route I'm going. Plenty of power, and with the saved money that just means more external mods!
  6. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

So with the max rpm of 7k that Nev recommends is there any reason to pay the price of tuneboy?
  7. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

I plan on going with Lush. For now it will accomplish my goals, and it's more budget friendly. Plus I figure if I want later I can do head and valve work for more power if desired
  8. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

Ok guys I'm slightly confused. With these do I need a power commander AND tuneboy/tune ecu, or just the latter?
  9. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

If I went with the Lush parts, would I need a tuner other than the PCV? I know people mention tune boy with carpenter but what about Lush?
  10. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

The price of the Lush stuff is attractive, but I also like that you can use regular on the Carpenter.
  11. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

Ok so it looks like his suggestion is the equivalent of at least mid grade How well would a Lush or Carpenter bike hold its own when actually moving?
  12. Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

So I did some reading on the Lush parts. Obviously a good bit cheaper than the carpenter kit. Some questions though. He said his kit runs on 95 or 98 Australian rated fuel. What's the U.S. Equivalent? Also since his is tuned in the lower revs would I still be able to embarrass the occasional...

My bad I was referencing that post. Should've quoted him
  14. Broken piston... top end rebuild (turbo motor)

Well that's good to know. Also good to see major engine work can be done without tearing the bike completely apart. Also weird that your rods say distorted on them
  15. Broken piston... top end rebuild (turbo motor)

Quick question. You said you might switch to Pistons with stronger lands, do the stock Pistons have weak rings that commonly fail or is it just a boost issue? Or just a random fluke in your case
