Bike's back and running better than ever. Clutch tight, no noises, shifting smoother than before. Part of the 20k service includes changing the final drive oil.

    Bangs and Ricochets

80% of the time I'm riding two up with with the bride and about 50 pounds of stuff in the saddle bags. Probably pushing 1500 pounds GVW, between that and the power, not sure how much better mileage I can get out of a rear tire.

Dealers in my area include: Eurosports, Coopersburg, Pa, closest to home, had front and rear tires changed here last time Martin Motosports, Boyertown, Pa (where Rocket was purchased), good customer relations and reliable Jack Trebourne, Ledgewood, New Jersey, never been here Hermys, Port...

    Bangs and Ricochets

@Warp9.9: Final drive has never been off the bike yet. I dropped the bike off at the dealer where I purchased it after the noises started, hoping to find some clue to the cause with the 20k service. I run the stock Metzler tire, chew them up every 6,000 to 7,000 miles. The last time I had the...

I'm relatively new to the forum but see a lot of great experience posted here. I have an '09 Rocket III Touring, TORs, K&N air filter, with 17k miles, rattles with the clutch out in neutral. Just this month it will intermittantly make a bang noise from the engine. No change in performance. The...

    R3 Touring Pipes

Carpenter Racing Mods On a side note, I recently attended a sport bike day event at a local motorcycle dealership. They had a trailer mounted dyno you could run your bike on for HP and torque. There were two Rocket Roadsters there that had the Carpenter Racing high compression piston job done...

    R3 Touring Pipes

Thanks to everyone for their replies. This forum is a great source of knowledge. My condolences to the sheriff's family and friends. Philadelphia recently lost a police officer to a head on collision on I-95 with a drunk driver going the wrong way on the interstate.

    R3 Touring Pipes

When I first installed the TOR's, the Rocket was loud, raunchy, and blew flames out the exhaust. It scared the hell out of my 100# bulldog. I took it into work the next day, and the roar of the bike and explosions out the rear when decelerating caused much neck snappping from pedestrians and...

    R3 Touring Pipes

RIII TORs The TORs are pipes only. The catalytic converter is a separate and distinct component. For the RIII Roadster, Triumph makes a Cat Elimination box for a three pipe system, sold separately from the TORs. For the Touring model, no Cat Elimination box is available. I'm still exploring...

    R3 Touring Pipes

Bought a set of TOR's for my '09 RIII Touring. Once recieved, realized there just regular pipes with the baffles bore out. Now have a set of '09 RIII Touring TOR's available. All you have to do is drill out the baffles. Any takers?

Hello Everybody, I've been riding Bonnevilles the last two years as a re-entry rider. Loved the things, but not suitable for two up fifty something year olds. Took two test drives two weeks ago, and traded the Bonneville in on an '09 Rocket III Tourer. Have three hundred miles on it...
