    I've found a place in Maidstone Kent who straightens bent/warped discs and only charges £55 plus vat so I'm popping over tomorrow morning for him to repair, apparently it takes approximately 1hr to do.     I would of thought triumph would of lacquered any bare Ali parts, I've got my bike under cover at the moment but I also have it stripped down for repair so once I've repaired and painted all the damaged plastics I'll start polishing the Ali parts.

    I had a 2005 1050 speed triple and used that from Gatwick to Heathrow every day of the year and that never suffered any corrosion. The wheels on the rocket have started to bubble up on the rim edge so I'm going to remove the painted area about an inch in on both wheels and highly polish them...

    Hi, Thank you for the heads up, all of the ali parts on my bike are quite bad, it's definitely seen it's fair share of the English winters. I've got a couple suzuki gt750's which are 50 years old and don't have corrosion that bad, quite shocking for today's standards.

    Thank you all for the warm welcome. The bike has had a front end knock damaging the lower fork and bending the disc, the mudguard and one headlight and radiator cowling is also damaged, it also looks like the bike has been dropped in the past and corrosion is really bad.

    I've just joined and would like to say a Big Hello to everyone. I've just bought myself a 2022 triumph rocket 3 gt which is a insurance write off and hopefully bring it back to its former glory over the winter months.
