I have 10k on my 07 the only issue for me has been the TPS and that was covered under warranty! To my knowledge Triumph had to change vendors on their TPS but if you are buying a new bike it shouldn't be a problem!!!

20K gas and tires and scheduled maintaince

16,000 miles on my '08 R3.
Water pump had a drip and was replaced at 500 miles.
Ignition switch failed at 13,000 miles and Triumph replaced all the locks as well.

Bought mine in Aug of 08
Two rear tires and one front (recall)
Clutch shaft (warranty)
Gear indicator (warranty)
Nothing else so far. right at 16K miles and nothing in the last 10 except tires and service. Old Triumphs used to leak. My old Meridians did a lot but not the Hinckley. My Trophy has a lead but that is due to a bad gasket that I need to replace. I don't even get an oil mist on the Rocket.

2005 Classic 10,000 Miles. No Problems.
