Well today was warm enough to get out and take all the bikes to the gas station for a fill-up and then put some Stabil in the fuel tanks. Also hooked a battery tender to each bike, found I was 2 short on Monday so ordered some from Amazon along with a power strip to plug everything into. No more bowl of spaghetti cords all over my garage now with a 12-plug strip. Little brother Pat and his wife are staying with me for a few months, so he helped with the riding the bikes to get gas. He'd never tried out any sport bikes, so I suggested he ride my Speed Triple. I then suggested on the way back he attempt to get to 6000 RPM. He got it to about 4000 before it started to scare him. He really liked the sound of my Thruxton and when I told him how to access SPORT mode he really really liked the sound and the added power. He got all blippy with its throttle on the way home. We may have an opportunity to get some miles in on Saturday so will be curious which bike he wants to ride (usually he opts for the T-bird or Rocket).

I did the same thing when it got cold out then proceded to ride 2 more tanks though it before it finally snowed. At first I didnt think riding in the mid to high 30s was a good idea but the more I thought about it the more I talked my aelf into it.

Sounds like your brother had a good time, he's lucky you trust him enough on your bikes. High power sport bikes are a whole new level if your not used to them. I'd like to try a speed triple just to see what a hogh reving bike is like. Think I'll hit up the next demo ride whwn it comes through.

I'm going to try to ride through the winter, as long as the roads are fairly ice free. Getting out for even a few hours breaks up the day. Just cant sit in the chair from morning to night.
