The squirrels are devouring hickory nuts over my house in prep. Some leaves already showing color changes. Up here on the mountain we are the last to see spring arrive and things get green. We're also the first to see fall. Ride em y'all. It's coming.

The squirrels know. Based on old folks teachings, the number of heavy and light foggy days in August are equal too the number of heavy and light snow falls over the winter. Its been a bit foggy. Almanac is predicting a tough winter too.

Yes indeed. Been a few years since we had a hard winter but believe this be the year. All the signs point to that. May not be able to ride all winter due to the predictions. Don't mind the cold but the ice and snow is a different story. Kind of figured so went ahead and got new tires for the Fiat. Still need to change the oil and plugs. Bike got some work done to it this weekend and more than ready for the run. Next weekend if we get it off the car is next. This year figure better get the car ready. It's going to be a bad winter. All the armadillo's have left town and headed south.

Was going good until this pic. Growing up in upstate New York had my fill of the white stuff. Glad I don't have to deal with it anymore. Miss cool fall nights and the changing of the leaves tho.
