Winter

Well, ride of course. Beats the hell out of summer around here.

I've almost worn out a Mezzler I put on two months ago. (Going the darks side soon.)

Those of us who experience real winter (cold temps below or at 10 deg, piles of snow until late march) tend to dream of exciting things to do to the scoot. Sometimes even doing those things. Maybe tear off the skins, poke around under the hood, modify something. Troll the internet forums, spend money on accessories. Some even dare to snowmobile or ski (the thought!). But mostly....envy those that can ride all year long!!!!!

Lets not forget about polishing the dust off but there are only so many coats of wax you can apply before you start to go stir crazy . then you listen to the guys from the south riding year around and you dream of such folly as you look out and theres a foot of snow its 10 below and the streets are white from salt and you decide well another coat of wax maybe wont be so bad at least you can pet it and dream.

Oh poor, poor folks. I am forced to ride year round. Florida is good for at least that. Hell, I ****ed near froze last week, it got down to 35 !!!! OMG ! What do I do ?

I'm just kidding of course. I used to live up north with the snow and ice. I didn't ride back then. But I can empathize a bit. I think I would go nuts (more so than I already am) if I couldn't ride for months.

Fear not friends. Spring is coming.

There are ways to survive.

You get a car and a half detached garage, good kerosene heater, frig with Diet Pepsi and adult beverages, a good selection of CD's, and a winter project. If you happen to finish the project ahead of schedule and it still cold and crappy it is a good time to ponder life's little mysteries, like why doesn't dog poop turn white anymore? I actually found out the reason. As you can see I am starting to get a little cabin fever. They are talking temperatures in the 70's this weekend. Bring it on.

George, it sounds like you're getting ol' FBG charged up and ready to roll out this weekend. It was sure 'nough cold this morning riding up to Gainesville and Manassas. Let me know if you're going to be running around. I might sneek away from my honey-do's and catch up with ya.

Ok...I have to ask...Why doesnt dog poop turn white anymore??!!!
Im already laughing!!!!

I feel for and envy you guys up there above the line, Maso/Dixon that is. You have the luxury of time to come up with ideas, plans, and actions for the riding season. Us poor backward inbreds have to keep moving so the revenuers don't catch us. It does get nippy here in the sunshine state but the roads stay salt free. We get stuff like fog, frog rain, and the state of mind of hurricane alley. Winter for us is less bugs to clean off. Life's a beach here in the Redneck Riviera with the anual mullet toss, singers and songwriters get togethers and of coarse the aqua marine blue of the Gulf. Having to wait for the water to warm up to get in it is a real bummer though....
