I know why you should work on your own bike now took mine in yesterday to have a lot of things done new tires cruise control added ect.ect. and now today it will be 79 out and the next day 80 best days we have had so far and I wont have the bike So guess I got to get the gold wing or bussa out
That sucks. Mine is still under warranty so I have to have the 20k done on it soon but that's about all I let them do. I installed the cruise myself. I need to start changing my own oil though.
Was going to do the cruise but its a Mc Cruise and I dont do much with the electrical stuff any more so took it in its a privite shop and I trust him what is funny is he does a lot of harlyes and I talked to him last night I have the only one around he said the shop was a buzz all day any one that came in wanted to know about it I think he gave me a good deal on the tires because he wanted to test ride it I would have let him but hey I like a good deal I got to get the 10k service done soon

I understand but if I end up having an issue of some kind I don't want to give them any more excuses than I have to. I've read here where a few folks have had issues with Triumph here and thete. I did all the service on my Valk but it had 92 k on it. I think I will look into changing my own oil pretty soon though.
Reckon you are better off getting 'all' work done by Dealer while bikes under warranty .. that way they can't arge if something goes wrong . Just my thoughts.
