Hey everyone! Just bought my first rocket 3, been lusting after this bike ever since it came out. Found an 06 with 9,000 miles on it and I was sold. Unfortunately less than 24 hours after picking it up I was rear ended at a stop light by some ditz on a cell phone in her landrover.

Thankfully insurance is covering all repairs, about 5,000 in total. All cosmetic. Gotta tell ya though, after saving the money for this bike for over two years it's hurts to not be able to ride it for another month. Luckily I chose not to sell my previous bike so I've still got two wheels to ride around in the meantime. Super excited to be in the rocket owner club!

Anyone here in florida?

Yep, welcome to the forum. You will get a lot of good information on this sight. A very interesting and knowledgeable group totally devoted to the Rocket.
I live in Eustis, an hour from Orlando.
Going to Daytona Sunday for BIKEWEEK. And the weather is warm, ready for riding!

Hello from 'near' Gainesville Florida. I bought my 06 just a few weeks ago. Still smiling! I downloaded TuneECU. Great software. Unlocking the extra power in lower gears made a big difference, especially in 3rd.

What color is your Rocket? The only Rocket I have seen in action is near Tampa on interstate, it was two-tone burgundy & white.

Cool to see other floridians in here! I know that burgundy and creme rocket, it was for sale and I looked at it. The price was right but it hadnt been garage kept so I passed.

And I hadn't even thought about the irony of being hit by another British vehicle.... That's pretty funny!

Welcome to the group! I'm pretty new on here myself, but been enjoying my R3 for over 5 years!!
Glad it was "only" damage to the bike, and rather have it in the shop for a month than you! You'll be back on it in no time enjoying that weather and avoiding the cages!
