What to look for?

TO rocket and Warp9.9, thanks for your replies.
I was expecting the gaps to be closer or at the bottom of the spec, so when I found them at 0.165 and 0.18 mm at the inlet (cyl 1 & 2) and 0.23 mm at the exhaust and at the top of the spec at cyl 3, that made me wonder if Triumph was building later bikes with a wider gap to start with. I'm leaning towards putting thicker shims in, but will I just end up putting the original shims back in after another 15K miles?
