What Happened?

Maybe I'm missing the notes of the RAA IV meeting...... but how about somebody writing a little blurp on how things went. Funny things that happened. Friendships renewed or started.

It's hard enough not having the R3 ..... but don't cut me out of the FYI part of riding with this Motley Crew! I hope you all had a great and safe time.

Inquiring minds want to know!

Sorry Dave you deserve better than that. For most of us I would have say it was a great trip. Some rain but who cares you just get wet. The North Carolina is beautiful, nothing like central Illinois, we had a blast and made several new friends. Wish you were there. Sunday we put those new friendships to an unplanned test. Pride still makes it difficult to talk about, but I lost control of my rocket while riding two up with my wife and to make matters worse Tony Mac and Sandy went down right behind us. We were out of the way but we (I) supplied a big distraction for Tony. Marie has a bruise on her ass, I was sore for a while, Sandy jammed her thumb, Tony got the worst of it he has a fractured collarbone. The rest of the group took care of us Tony and Sandy were taken to the hospital. Papa Duke (Craig) rode back to the hotel and brought his trailer to get the bikes myself and my wife (Marie) back to the hotel. Lonzol and Banjo Bart stayed with us and got us food while we waited. Steve (Scoherd) and Joe (Cadfather) both offered the trailer us home. But luckily we were able to rent a truck. There is a really great bunch of people here at .net I hope to see them again.

Pianoman, sorry I have not had the pleasure of meeting from talking with everyone at RAA IV you were a hard act to follow. My wife is putting together a video of the event and I will send you a copy when finished. I hope you get back on the road soon.....

Me and Lon rode over with one of his firefighting buddies on a Busa.
renewed alot of friendships and seriously missed the ones not there.
The host motel was over the top generous and accommodating.
Met alot of folks I've talked with on here,
it was nice seeing the ones I already knew and meeting the newer ones.
Ride? The rides were BEAUTIFUL.
the tail of the dragon has to be experienced, any youtube video I've seen just doesn't do it justice.
All in all, a great time, with some great folks..
wish you could have been there, but don't worry,
there's always next time..
