Just a post to thanks all the veterans who are serving, have served, and especially those who gave their lives in defense of this great country.

Also thanks to the veterans of our allies.

I proudly served: US Army 1984 - 1992. US Navy 1992-1997
My Dad served the US and the UK
My Mom served the US
My Grandfathers served the US and the UK.

#322 in the draft lottery in 1971. Lucky me, although I wished I could have served, yours truly was not volunteering during that little meat grinder we had going on in SE Asia. A US flag flies over my property every day and a second one is raised on national holidays. Veterans have run up a debt that we civilians can never fully repay. Sincere thanks to all of you.

YUP! Happy VETS day!

My Grandfather fought in WWI and worked with Army Intel in WWII
My Other Grandfather was shot down in WWI
My Grandmother was an Army Col. in WWII
My Dad served in the US Navy as a SeaBee in the Pacific in WWII
I served 6 years in the US Navy: Sub Comm and Anti-Sub warfare.

cheers

and my thanks

I also had a high lottery number and didn't serve in the Vietnam era, but I spent a lot of time telling the hippie protesters what a bunch of a**holes they were, if that counts.

Members of my family saw action at Trenton in the Revolutionary War (Hessians, unfortunately), fired the first shots from an artillery battery at the Confederate troops advancing on Gettysburg, fought at Verdun and came onto Omaha Beach on D+1. I have nothing but respect for the people who serve.

Yep, thanks to all the veterans.
My grandfather, US Navy, WWII, ship sunk at Okinawa by Kamikaze. He survived.
Two Uncles in Korea, both Navy
My father, USAF 1954 - 1962
Two Cousins, 1 US Army RET, Desert Storm Veteran, one US Navy during Vietnam.
Me, USAF Communications Specialist 1976 - 1983, USMC 0351 Anti- Tank Assaultman 1983 - 1992, Medically discharged.
Thanks to all the folks that are serving now, served with me, served before me.
