Well it's official. I am now the owner of a 2010 R3T. Her name is Velma. After signing all the paperwork and putting on all my cold weather gear I opened the door to find out it was hailing. That was not a pleasant ride. The rain, hail and strong wind made the ride home pretty nasty. I think I might look for a cheap full face helment. Well thanks for all the support and information that all have given. I can't wait to get to Maggie Valley.

Congratulations on the new R3T...I hope to be able to join you in the ownership of an R3T in the fall after I return home and finish off my vacation around the US.

On the helmet...you may want to look at getting a modular type...especially if you wear glasses.
