Today I installed the TORS and Dave Platt performance crossover pipe. Had to do it lying in the driveway as my Thunderbird is occupying the bench lift.

All went well and I'd previously noted through TuneECU that I was already running the 20355 map (presumed previous owner had TORS at some stage) so didn't need to bother with that.

'Her indoors' bought me out a coffee and asked what I'd been doing, so I explained and also pointed out that whilst "not for road use" that stamping was hidden from site, "like this" she asks pointing to the old pipe lying on the workbench!

I couldn't believe it, the bloody thing had already had TORS on it!!

I have to say I did think they were a bit raspy but thought nothing of it, after all the TORS on my Thunderbird make a dramatic difference, it sounds like a Spitfire coming into land.

Anyway, the crossover pipe does make quite a difference to the sound - next is to put on a Ramair kit, probably find it's already got K&N's!!!

What is worrying is that I have a wife and two teenage daughters who are constantly calling me a muppet.....................and I'm starting to think they may be right!

We are from the same Island so we must be related my wife and daughter call me the same but each time they do I usually bring another bike home ---or do they call me it after i bring another bike home

The females rarely enter the garage....daughters only to ask for money or to inform they've already used my card and my wife just to find out if I'm still alive!

'She Who Must Be Obeyed' has occasionally remarked "is that another bike?" but only gets the response "new......nah been there ages that"

I think @scot in exile has used that one a few times too many. She won't fall for it once there are a few bikes lined up.

Gun Shop I used to go to saved a lot of marriages (at least for awhile...). If you wanted when you bought a gun, they would attach a repair tag to the trigger guard, That way when you got home and started getting interrogated about the new gun, you could say it wasn't a new gun, it's one I just got back for having repairs done on it. Got away with it for many years. That Gun Shop is gone now and so is she, so I'm good...
