Today I installed the TORS and Dave Platt performance crossover pipe. Had to do it lying in the driveway as my Thunderbird is occupying the bench lift.

All went well and I'd previously noted through TuneECU that I was already running the 20355 map (presumed previous owner had TORS at some stage) so didn't need to bother with that.

'Her indoors' bought me out a coffee and asked what I'd been doing, so I explained and also pointed out that whilst "not for road use" that stamping was hidden from site, "like this" she asks pointing to the old pipe lying on the workbench!

I couldn't believe it, the bloody thing had already had TORS on it!!

I have to say I did think they were a bit raspy but thought nothing of it, after all the TORS on my Thunderbird make a dramatic difference, it sounds like a Spitfire coming into land.

Anyway, the crossover pipe does make quite a difference to the sound - next is to put on a Ramair kit, probably find it's already got K&N's!!!
YOU can remove everything but the header and install a slip on muffler and get more HP and its a superclean look

Should have left the crossover pipe, quietly unbolted the new ones and put those back up for sale, and put the old TORS on. :)

Gun Shop I used to go to saved a lot of marriages (at least for awhile...). If you wanted when you bought a gun, they would attach a repair tag to the trigger guard, That way when you got home and started getting interrogated about the new gun, you could say it wasn't a new gun, it's one I just got back for having repairs done on it. Got away with it for many years. That Gun Shop is gone now and so is she, so I'm good...
Now that's funny as hell:roll:

We could have a "Two Daughters" sub-group. I've mentioned before, we insisted both our girls get their motor license on the motorcycle first.

And boy how I relate to the repair tags !!!
I too have two Daughters but their mother hates the thought of either of them getting on my bike let alone obtaining a mc license
In the pic we were at a party tonight and all seats were taken sooooo naturally dad has two knees to sit on

Ha. That's not really your fault man. The tors look identical to the stick pipes. The highest difference is the vast weight difference between the tors and stock exhaust.

Tony it is normal for Mothers to be fearful of their children doing "dangerous" things. I think they would worry weather the kid is a girl or a boy.

Heck I don't like to watch my 2 adult sons do some of the stuff they do on bikes.

If you put your ladies on bikes, start them out on something docile like a CB 500 Honda.
