Has any one had trouble with Avon rear tyres ??? 2000 kl got a bubble yesterday

I had a Avon Cobra that went bad after about 1200 miles or less. It would shake the handle bars (wobble) so bad at 40 mph with my hands held off the bars that I had to grab them to keep from wrecking. I could even feel it when I kept my hands on the bar. I checked everything on the motorcycle that might be causing the problem and couldn't find anything that was out of adjustment. The shocks seemed fine. Took the tire off and had it rechecked for balance issues on a electronic balance machine at the dealer. It showed it needed .75 ounce of weight in which that is really nothing at all. The dealer said they have had customers have problems with Avon tires and don't recommend them. I went against my promise to myself not to buy another Metz tire but I did and installed it. The problem is now gone. I was going to go with maybe a Dunlop or something else but just wanted something that wasn't going to cause problems in which I never had a wobble issue with a Metz on front. I lived with the wobble for awhile until it got worse and didn't want to go any further with it. I'm thinking that the belt broke in the tire but we couldn't see it while it was on the balancing machine at full spin. I don't have faith in Avon tires anymore.

Thanks for that I just had two new Avons fitted to my roaster not happy I did not want Metz again but what do you do ??

I did have a Avon on the rear for about 6k before I got a nail through it, couldn't be repaired so went back to the Bridgestone. I would have liked to run the Avon right out to give myself a better comparison..........
