tps problems

tryed to order tps from dealer in alb today cant get any triumph parts,they are no longer a triumph dealer they are transferring over,so I called dealer in pheonix parts guy(after 20 min. on phone saying HHHMMMMMM,I SEE ,and a few other stupid quotes)asked me is this a water cooled or air cooled bike,is tis a OEM,or aftermarket part told him thanks for his touble and IM GOING RIDING ,even if it dont want to idle
 
Hermy's Triumph in Port Clinton PA are a good source of mail order parts.
Never tried ordering from their web site

There are others, too, but I bought my bike from them so they are familiar.
They've been in business a very long time.
 
u might try w/o running just open the throttle and let it go a few times. (let it snap closed)
 
You can adjust the throttle stepper to force the throttle to an idle. You will have to readjust it to the proper voltages when you get that TPS though. That's what I did. Worked OK.
