After buying the bike discision i had to make was what pipes , I don't believe you get a true sound on U tube but fortunatly , the dealer had fitted the first set of foron razorbacks he had done , on a thunderbird sat on the showroom floor waiting to be picked up, I had ordered the short TORS . so off i went to have a listen , first listen of the Forans and i thought nice but a bit too loud . Price was $1450 plus fitting ,,,,price on the Tors was $585 fitting included , i had not heard the TORS and was concerned about any popping and backfireing , spoke to the mechanic he said the thunderbird with the forans run suprisingly good with the triumph download but was getting a bit of backfire and popping .

This plus the $900 plus price difference made me sway to the TORS , figured if i did'nt like them could always sell them , and buy the forans .

Well first thing i noticed when i went to pick the bike up was sat next to each other the short TORS for me anyway seemed to suit the bike better , . On start up , i thought , OH NO waste of money , too quiet , but i did notice once riding , they do open up and give a nice rumble , only done a couple of hundred klm due to its not stopped raining but they seem to be getting more note too them i've no doubt give a few thousand miles and they will be just right . Not gonna deafen people at the lights (like my harley did ) But definete nice rumble under throttle .

Overall impresion of the bike , glad i done the deal , the bike seems so easy to handle and is so rider freindly , its gonna make a great bike for skooting round the hills at the back of my house , it will also be the bike of choice for sundays when i'm out with the wife i don't even know when she's on the back ,

But for long journeys , anything over a couple off hundred klm's the tourer has to be the one , 2 absolutly great bikes for there own purpose

Not sure i understand what your asking Trucange,, but if its the part number your after , i think its A9618050

google translation is :soapbox:

>anybody knows anything about the TORs different charcteristics between part# >A9608060 AND A9600205 the man in france is looking for it and I am cluess.

Actually , its not the rocket i'm talking about its the Thunderbird , i posted this on the thunderbird site it ended up here . regards cats delete , i would;nt have a clue .

I know though on my r3t the cats is in the muffler so when I put the tor's on that it gets rid of the cat thingymebob .

By the way the sound on the r3t did'nt change much , especially at idle , it gives a reasonable note on throttle , but definetly increased the power in the mid range .

I put British Customs "Hog Slayers" on my T-Bird. I love them. They're the same as what you're describing in terms of loudness. They're not much louder than stock at idle or sitting at lights, but they definitely have some bark when under load. They eliminate the cat too, which shaves around 13 lbs off the bike. Do a search in here and you'll find my full review.
