After buying the bike discision i had to make was what pipes , I don't believe you get a true sound on U tube but fortunatly , the dealer had fitted the first set of foron razorbacks he had done , on a thunderbird sat on the showroom floor waiting to be picked up, I had ordered the short TORS . so off i went to have a listen , first listen of the Forans and i thought nice but a bit too loud . Price was $1450 plus fitting ,,,,price on the Tors was $585 fitting included , i had not heard the TORS and was concerned about any popping and backfireing , spoke to the mechanic he said the thunderbird with the forans run suprisingly good with the triumph download but was getting a bit of backfire and popping .
This plus the $900 plus price difference made me sway to the TORS , figured if i did'nt like them could always sell them , and buy the forans .
Well first thing i noticed when i went to pick the bike up was sat next to each other the short TORS for me anyway seemed to suit the bike better , . On start up , i thought , OH NO waste of money , too quiet , but i did notice once riding , they do open up and give a nice rumble , only done a couple of hundred klm due to its not stopped raining but they seem to be getting more note too them i've no doubt give a few thousand miles and they will be just right . Not gonna deafen people at the lights (like my harley did ) But definete nice rumble under throttle .
Overall impresion of the bike , glad i done the deal , the bike seems so easy to handle and is so rider freindly , its gonna make a great bike for skooting round the hills at the back of my house , it will also be the bike of choice for sundays when i'm out with the wife i don't even know when she's on the back ,
But for long journeys , anything over a couple off hundred klm's the tourer has to be the one , 2 absolutly great bikes for there own purpose
