Today Pat wanted to experience the 'Pig Trail' so we went from Garfield to Eureka Springs and turned south on AR 23. Yesterday we had come north on 23 from AR 16 but missed the trail, so today we made the trip to I-40. It's about 80 miles one way from Eureka Springs. Pat wanted to get off the bikes at the southern end and asked about a coffee shop or rest stop and the last time I was down that way the only thing they had was an overpass to get some shade. We got to I-40 and there is now a truck stop, hot deli, and gas station. Who knew. We stopped for awhile and had some BBQ pork tots with cheese and dressing for a snack. Pretty tasty pork on that dish. We then gassed up and headed back north on 23 to experience the trail from the other direction. We made another stop just south of Eureka Springs at the junction of 127 to stretch and get some circulation back in our legs and bums. Great ride, highly recommend it.
