Throttle Cable Identification

Hi all,

I have a 2009 R3 Standard

Can someone tell me which of the throttle cable adjusters on the right-hand grip is the opening adjuster and which is the the closing adjuster?

Some naughty person at a recent service adjusted the opening and closing cables so that there's zero adjustment available at the grip end (on either cable) and I do like the recommended 2-3mm of throttle movement prior to lift-off. I'm going to adjust everything by the book but unfortunately the book doesn't identify which adjuster is which.

..top is go fast (how could it be otherwise?)..I adjusted mine after putting on new grips..I've got 0mm adjustment in mine..when I twist that grip, I want that sona***** to go..:smoking:..

..btw, how ya like my new grips?..

They do need a little slack otherwise your 0% throttle setting will have problems.

Ya, mine have no slack and I think Tuneboy always reports that the throttle is open .3 in the console view.... I'm going to adjust them for the tiny bit of slack when I lube them this winter...
