TB Screw

I attempted to remove my secondaries yesterday and everything was working great untill....... the last screw of the last TB stripped rather than exited. I messe4d with it for a while and finally gave up. I figure I will do a Trip KN install in a couple of months (when I can spend the scratch without the old lady being the wiser). My dilema is......

HOW CAN I GET THAT **** SCREW OUT!!!!

I'm assuming you are referring to one of the tiny little screws that hold the secondary plates onto the shaft. I'm also assuming you missed the part in the how-to thread that advised how to avoid that problem. In that case it sucks to be you. Tough break, lad.

I dunno, can you pick the other screws up with a magnet? If so maybe you should get one of those magnetic retriever things they sell at auto parts stores. Some of them come with mirrors and lights on them. I don't think you want that screw to go through a cylinder though. Could be terminal.
 

If you mean the head of the screw stipped.i had the same thing happen and used small vise grip pliers to clamp too the head to turn it and it came out.
 
I meant to say the head stripped on the last screw of the last TB. The screw that holds the secondarys to the shaft. I will try to get a small vise grip and see if that works.

if teh pliers don't work, there are several screw extractor products you drill in and remove the screw.

I've had luck with making a slot for a flat head with a dremal or similar tool...



those screws did seem soft
