Does anyone know where I can source the tape used on the tank and knee pads for the Rocket? I had to remove the tank pad and would like to remount it but can't locate the proper tape. Fender tape is way too strong and not quite thin enough.

For years I've worked on vintage Triumphs and stuck the knee pads on using contact cement that you get at the hardware store. That's pretty standard with the guys who do this. I apply a coat to the back of the pad and then some on the tank, let it dry and they stick right on. I asked my wife though if she's ever seen that kind of double stick paper and she said she's seen it at some of the craft stores.

Just bought a NEW Triumph knee pad and the tape lasted about five seconds. Ho-hum...

So out with the good ol' contact glue........perfect.
