What type of rider are you? If you use your Roc for commuting and touring, then you may want to consider the Darkside. If you are a peg-scraper, you might not want to.
A 225/55R16 is slightly taller (.29") and will fit without any rubbing.

I occasionally get somewhat spirited on the twisties and have found that my Riken Raptor ZR works just fine. I don't scrape pegs but I do have some fun. There is a forum dedicated to the Darkside (car tires) on this site that has a bunch of useful info.
As for the front, I run a Dunlop 404. It's only H rated but I don't need to go faster than 132 mph. You've got the room to do so out there. The Dunlop also doesn't seem to develop cupping like the Metz front does either.

alselec: Please go read the darkside posts! You definitely cannot run a darkside tire on the front, only the rear. And yes, you can scrape the pegs with a darkside tire, but, going darkside is NOT for everyone because the handling characteristics are definitely different! There is counter steer involved, some tires more than others and at slow speeds, pot holes, minor road flaws and other road issues are more noticeable in going darkside. But if you are an accomplished rider, darkside is a good thing, but as I said it is not for everyone. So please go read the darkside thread.

Native is right. The handling is different in some ways but don't let it be the only deciding factor. You notice differences at first but they tend to become second nature after a while. As far as slow speed handling, I went to a MSF course nearby and went through all the exercises with no problem. The Figure 8's in the box were as simple as when I was running the Metz.
A 225/55R16 by specification, whether it's a car tire or m/c tire, is supposed to be .29 inches taller in overall diameter than a 240/50R16. I chose this size because it's the closest to the stock Metz without being smaller. Also, since most of us have a speedo error of ~7%, the taller tire is a poor man's speedo correction. It helps by ~1%.
