Saw a fella last night with a new R3 {Hooray! Another Rocket Captain in my town!} that had a set of Triumph boards that were lower and flatter than mine. His boards were about 1 1/2"- 2" lower than mine and not angled up in the front either. They looked like they would be more comfy than mine.
I guess my question is, how many different styles of R3 board configuations are there and where would be the best {cheapest } place to get the lower style? Maybe someone has a good used set of the flatter style they want to sell?
This is what I have on my Rocket with heel shift cut off.

I believe there are just two configurations. No doubt better info may be coming shortly. I believe the Classic and the accessory floorboards from Triumph for the Standard are the two you are seeing. Now we will both find out.

Are they both TRiumph floor boards?

I know that the Triumph floorboards come with a whole new bracket. The Rivco ones would just replace the pegs therefore they would be about an inch pulled back.

Thanks Jack!

I must have accessory boards from Triumph.
The other fellas bike has R3 Classics for sure as per busajack's pics.

I guess its time to find a Classic board set up for my Rocket. Anybody have a set to sell or am I doomed to buying them thru Triumph?

It doesn't look like I can re-weld mine if I cut and relocate the boards. The mounting bulkhead looks cast to me. Wonder how Triumph welded the boards to the steel tubing?

If you buy them used. Make sure you have the new rear brake line with it as they are different than regular R3.
