I saw this today. A potential makeover of the Rocket 3 featuring a single headlight and maybe a radar unit for accident avoidance and adaptive cruise control.
If they add more horsepower I'm IN!

What I see is just an actual GT Storm with something mounted on the front. While the ACC looks very similar to what my R18B has, the poorly hidden whatevers under the covers might be Headlights similar to the Speet Triple - which I would have no problem with.

At the end of the day, for most people the 3 is more or less a Speed Triple on Steroids... which is ok for me.

One drawback on those Speedy's wasp headlights is they aren't repairable units, so if a lamp goes out the entire unit has to be replaced in toto. The cost isn't cheap either, I had the left headlamp go out on my Speed Triple RS (low beam) and it was just under $1000 for the replacement unit. Ouch.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but it's the same with the Rocket's. At least since 6 years...

And don't get me wrong: I HATE integrated LED-lights - we have LED bulbs for doing retrofit, so who the hell needs this. But we are in modern times...

More electronics to please TPTB for more control , just like all other car companies are doing

I would buy its headlights and put it on my 2.5L to have a change since everything else looks same

I just looked that up and it's about $850 for both headlamps and they are only sold in pairs. That said if one goes out you should be able to replace just one since it's separate nacelles and have a spare, not so the Speed Triple it's a single unit so you replace the good unit as well. So yes and no.

It looks like it still has dual headlights, just wrapped in some sort of wrapping to conceal them. From the one angle it looks like there are cooling fins on the back, like an LED headlight would typically have. I think the one headlight in the middle is temporary to keep it legal for road testing, and to throw people off.

The backrest and its mount are also concealed in the same material. Integrated brake light? Unless that's it's just below the rear radar? Or the turn signals now double as brake lights (it looks like they may have amber centers surrounded by red)?

The dash is definitely different, and I hope to God they aren't adopting the garbage display from the Tiger 1200.
