Not sure I can find in previous threads why some prefer Hagan Nitros or Progressive 440s. Anyone have any thoughts on the difference?

Nitros's are stainless. That's a good start imo.

I went with the 440s purely because they were obtainable over the counter(but I should have gone to ebay),while the Hagons were mail order and their replies to my emails were spasmodic.
Maybe get the one that suits the budget and/or is easiest to obtain,it seems unlikely you will be disappointed with either.
Im very happy with the 440s by the way.

Thanks, I am very happy with my 440's on my Speedmaster, think I have heard from some who thought highly of Hagon.
Has anyone tried both for comparison?

Yep, & I stuck with Hagons in the end.
