bazdog, the suspension was obviously made for cruisin at 55mph or the like. Put good shocks and a set of progessive fork springs in and the beast is COMPLETELY different. I´ve good german Wilbers shocks and springs and the bike is rocksolid on high speeds and a way better in the twisties. Wilbers offers up to 25mm longer shocks with springs made to individual riding style and weight and they are perfect for me. The frame and fork themselves are good on the stock bike, but the shocks are appalingly bad and the fork springs simply to soft...Nothing to do with the tire unless your tire pressure is to low. A slight influence is the front tire, sometimes they wear not symmetrically and that is something you notice as well.
