Just reconnected my battery (had it in the basement on a trickle charger battery tender) from winter storage. Has anybody found the negative battery cable to be just long enough to reach?
Also, there is a ground wire connector that is pulled tight when cable is connected.
I had my R3 out for a ride, stopped for fuel, and tried to start afterwards. Only got Headlights. That was fun.
Found spade electrical connector in female side of ground wire plastic connector (attached to negative battery cable) pulled out of plastic connector. I elongated ground wire to fix the problem.
Hope my find helps anyone in need out on a ride a cannot start bike, check just a couple inches from battery end of negative cable for a pulled out connector wire. Find it behind left side cover (hard to get to)

Sorry, I rambled on. It was a frustrating day, but a sunny day steady.

You would think that "All" manufactures would not use such short harrness's. Maybe you could get the right size for, Ohhh, 10 bucks more. No skimping on the wire.

I got stuck in a pretty good place at least, a HESS fuel station. Could have been a cell phone dead zone at one of many places we (the wife & I) stopped to rest.

All the wires are cut to meet a price point (that's the point at which you'll buy the bike).:D
