Looking for foot controls that are on the rocket roadster. I have a 2005 standard with the mid mounted foot pegs. I would like to purchase or trade someone for the controls that are further back on the bike. If anyone has a set for sale or would like to trade please contact me. Reason Im wanting to do this is because I have the carpenter sidewinder headers, I want to get my leg further away from the headers.

Thinking about it. I felt cramped with roadster controls. I installed forward controls from "Refined" they seem to be a little to far out (11 inches) and puts my leg close to my viking headers. From what I've read sounds like the standard setup would be perfect. My biggest concern is if we swap do I loose my ABS?

Here are some pictures of how the brake lines are routed and the rear master cylinder on my bike. Im not sure where your abs controler is?

Not going to Strugis. Bad Lands then to Colorado on the 30th Aug. depending on weather maybe up through Wyoming, Montana then return threw N. Dakota.
We'll have to wait for some advise from the knowledge departments.

Calling @1olbull he has made this swap on his R3R and may have some suggestions with the ABS question

Steve @1olbull has a different set up from Classic footboards. He has the earlier more steeply angled floor boards option for Std R3 that came out in 2005 A9758085.

These have heel/toe gear shifters and different mounts on the 1" peg mount rails. Rare as hen's teeth now. I have a NOS boxed one and a used set now too.

I sold a new set of R3 Std footpegs, rails and oil line etc to an Aussie @Al Burdon who retrofitted them to his Roadster sidecar outfit with a bit of effort.

I've fitted the Roadster footrest assembly to my 06 Model Rocket.
It was a direct swap except that I had to make up a brake line.
The pre Roadster brake line goes from the master cylinder directly to the brake switch, the Roadster one goes from the master cylinder to a bracket on the footrest rail.
