Thinking about installing Rivco risers on my 07 classic touring, 5'8" and have to reach for the bars, I sit all the way back on the seat. I like loooooooooooong rides and get a pinch between my shoulders. Anyone have any imput on this mod? what to look out for? what to do? not to do?
any imput would be great

Thanks

Just follow the directions that come with the kit, fairly simple install. The cables need repositioning and redirected as per the instructions. One thing I did find in my kit, the brake line re-location bracket that came with my 07 kit kept hitting the radiator chrome cover, it really wasn't needed so I left it off. Short of bending it and making it useless, there wasn't any way of using it as the brake line was long enough anyway.

Sorry so slow getting back to you, I was out riding! :D :D Harleys everywhere, only Rocket to be seen, they in their own little groups, riding 60ish, in the ****ed way. Wife and I doing 75ish to 80ish on Mother's Day ride, she on her Harley, me on the Rocket.

Yes, I like the position, just had to fiddle with the raising and lowering a bit to get them just right, but I really like the pull back on them. Give them a try, to me they were well worth the effort.

In addition to the Rivco Risers, I also added the Triumph Rocket III Classic bar kit (from my local dealer's parts dept.) which is a set of pull-back bars and the (somewhat longer than stock) cables and brake lines to match. I paired them up with a set of Kuryakin ISO grips and it feels much nicer now. I can sit straight upright with a nice bend to my elbows as I ride, and the grip is not so wide as with the standard bars. I bolted on my Throttlemeister cruise control to the right, and the matching end weight to the left, bar ends to complete the ensemble. I've since sold the Throttlemeister, though, because If I wanted to cruise I'd ride a Harley.

Thanks Native One, Just read about your Mothers day ride (thumbs up) every Rocket owner could stand ass kickin woman like that!

Hey Jimmy, lookin to ride to the west coast this year with some sight seeing, about 5000 mile trip, I don't usually cruise but going withsome HD riders, so.......................................................you know.

PS I did have one look at my Rocket yesterday and say " if I could get tunes on that I'd but one" I rode with him last year and he can't seem to stop looking at it
