maybe I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer or just over looking the obvious, but, installed the shifter per directions and adjusted for comfort, but, when shifting the heel portion does not seem to return to hit the gears, especially 3rd and 4th. Am I over looking something?

You might need stronger shifter return springs. Had trouble with mine and had return springs replaced and it works great now. BTW I don't have the heel toe shifter just the stock one. The work and parts were covered by warrenty.

I'm guessing you have to get inside the case to replace the return spring?
I thought it acted like it wasn't returning right. took the heel/toe off and put the orig. toe shifter back on after I couldn't find any gear in the middle of an intersection. seems putting the orig toe shifter back on and re-adjusting the linkage makes it shift better than it did before.

will have to re-think the heel/toe.
