Rear brake pads already wore out and damaged rotor

So i had issues with the rear brake on this 2023GT when I first got it. When I pushed down the rear wouldnt engage. Like I was pushing down on a brick on the lever. At 10k mark the rear brakes are on metal. Warranty is still in effect so I believe. My rotor isnt completely trashed but will need replaced. See attached photos. I think the fronts still had 10k more miles left till the next oil change. The other are the rear pads. What the hell is happening here?

Unless the rotor is warped I would just scuff it down with scotch pad or the like and change pads. Some one liked the rear brake for sure .
 
I have the same mileage. I replaced all my pads with EBC HH. I do that on all my bikes. Makes a nice improvement in braking power IMO. Might let you feel the rear a bit more. I've also taken off the rotors on bikes that started getting a "pulsing" feel from uneven pad build up, Usually from holding the brakes at a light when the rotors are hot, and wet sanded them with a 1/4 sheet palm sander and some 320 grit wet dry.
 
Thats what im replacing them with but the point is why it did this. Im not rear brake happy by any means
 
That is abnormal wear even for a rear brake only rider. The rear brake is activated by the foot pedal or the ABS modulator, but the modulator can't put the kind of pressure on the pads the foot pedal can, so it makes me wonder if the disc is warped or misaligned. If it were mine, I'd be replacing the disc with a wave rotor for better cooling and using harder pads.
 
Do u have the part number for the galfer wave rotor? Ive scoured the internet looking for a rear rotor to replace this one as well as the part number for galfer. But only thing i could find for the bike was galfer front rotors. I didn't feel any sort of pulsing indicating warpage however
 
I jacked up my rear rotor from sheer stupidity by letting the pads get down to metal. Now, instead of a nice gray-colored caliper, it has a brown/bronze look to it, but the caliper is working fine with a new rotor and pads. but that was after a lot more miles than you got. I wonder if one of the pistons is sticking, resulting in fast wear.
