Triumph country HQ told me in 2023 they were paying for it... but several mechanics told me that dealers actually cover it (Triumph at best reimburse brake fluid if you can bare with the process), and I even have to cover for one (that Triumph HQ never reimbursed despite their promise). I don't know which one is the most frequent; but in all cases, this dilute the issue enough for Triumph HQ not even really counting how much bleeds there are, and not really paying for it all.
Well, I came here to say that I was a Triumph believer at one point. 4 years, numerous brake bleeds, and an uncaring corporate headquarters later (that denied the last claim), and I will say that I hate Triumph and will never buy another one for as long as I live - and will forever spread the gospel of staying far away from Triumph Motorcycles. They are garbage.
It started with the dealership - brake bleed after brake bleed, to no avail. They claimed they replaced the entire braking system - at least they did on paper. They claim they replaced the master cylinder. They supposedly replaced the entire brake system, yet here we are. Year after year after year with the same problem. - and now Triumph is claiming it's not their problem.
Add to that the flimsy mirrors that I had replaced under warranty and had the same floppy mirror problem within the same year, one of the heat shields coming off on the highway, the Triumph dealership that scratched my tank and told me that a tank was on order for a year (which turned out to be a lie), and the $500 oil changes? I had my suspicions about this bike with all the plastic they slapped on it.
I'm done. I'm so done.
Now to pawn this thing off to the next sucker.
I bought an Indian Sport Chief. 90% of the torque, more maneuverability, and a dealership and brand that seems to actually care about their reputation. All I asked corporate for was a tow and a final resolution on this. They gave me the canned corporate response of "not our problem."
Get rid of these things. Cool concept, bad execution and an even worse company backing it.
Triumph bikes will go the way their cars went. Into landfills.
