Just got mine back from the 1st service, not sure what he did, but it is night and day different. With full synthetic instead of the swill they loaded for the break in, tranny is much smoother, most of the engine vibes are gone, and boy does she rip now.
I will admit I loaded up Power Tripps R3R_Slip tune and bumped redline to 6500.
Finally gave her the full beans in 1st gear from around 2500 rpm and ran through the top of 3rd. All I can say is Woah!. That moment when you blow by a hardley in 2nd with the front wheel lofted on a hard shift and not rolling off at all... priceless

I didn't realize there were any roads straight enough in Hawaii to pull that kind of stuff. 
This time IMFT is dead on. Decent roads make all the difference. A compacted asphalt street can be sliker'n owlshlt. A brushed concrete surface (like most roads in the south) will make my darkside squall like a baby in first but only squawk in second. (Provided the front tire can be kept low enough.) No I don't have 300hp ....... yet.
