Just wondered if anybody has had trouble with their fan not coming on. I have taken my fan off and checked it out, runs great direct hot wire. I check fuses and wiring all seems to be okay was just curious if anybody else has had this problem no problem on the road but will Overheat in heavy traffic really aggravated about two put on a manual switch

havent heard of anything but it sounds like your temp sensor is not sending the proper temperature back to the ecu......need to do more digging on it but sounds temperature related to me......

mutt

yes I was just talking to wild Bill on the phone and it seems like were all in agreement temperature sensor, getting ready to install my repair manual CD in the computer and start surfing

I was going to sugest that!
Jesse, i got your message, sorry i couldn't answer the phone but i was too busy riding:D

Pludg tune boy in and run the fan check, I think tune ecu has this option also. If its good I would look at what bently said the relay. To pull the temp sensor you will need to modify a socket with a vertical slot in it so you can get the socket on the sensor while the wireing is out of the way. she is in a great spot right below the thermostat housing between 4 and 5 Oclock. where is a chore to get at.

It was the relay I did a quick check by pulling fuel pump relay and putting fan relay in its place did not work. Went and got new relay everything is running great now have to figure out how to reset little yellow engine warning light, I have tune ecu cable but my laptop seems to have grown legs

talk about the TuneECU thing.
I've asked repeatedly for someone to make a youtube video,
so simple a 2nd grader could follow the instructions for our Rockets,
(for me), as that's about where I am with computers.
Anyway I don't know squat about a hex file, or what it is,
or how to convert it to whatever we need it to be.
Now I know some of you guys do know,
and have all this computer stuff down to an art.
I'd like to run the TuneECU as I'm always changing something,
with the dobeck, I know I'm not running lean,
but that's about all I know for sure.
I'd sure like to be able to check everything else available with TuneECU,
IF somebody could make a video for those of us,
not quite planted in the 21st century yet.
Whoever is willing to take on this challenging project,
my thanks in advance.

Best I can tell by reading the service manual the light should go off after 40 cycles that everything is okay, I just wish my laptop would Walk itself back home :(:(:(:(:(
