Just so that I have some idea what to tell the folks at the Pecan Farm, anyone got a good guess on how many folks are likely to show up to ride the sisters?
For the interest in the thread i would say plenty, start with 10, then whenever you come up with the exact date post it, also post the motel info and let the members call in and make their own reservation, that way you won't be involved in it
Me and my future wife will be heading out to the hill country next Monday, after our wedding on Monday. We like staying in Kerreville, then head out to the 3 sisters from there. Inn of The Hills in Kerreville is a nice place at a very reasonable price.
Her's the link www.innofthehills.com . I'll keep checking the post for updates.

Congrats!
That road that parallels the river on the south side of Kerville is great. Very scenic and lots of easy sweeping curves. Can't remember the number of it but it is two digits. Actually, I like it better than any of the sisters.
Just got home from the hill country and while I was there I stopped in at the Frio Pecan Farm. Beautiful place, so unless someone has major heartburn with it here are the official details for RAA Texas...
Important: When you call to make reservations tell them you are with RAA Texas or they will probably tell you they don't have any vacancy.
If you plan on coming you need to contact Frio Pecan Farm and make reservations by July 1st. We have 15 cabins blocked out for our use, but they will release them to the general public after July 1. This place fills up pretty quickly for weekends in the spring and the fall so I would say that if you want to come you should make your reservation before July 1. All cabins are 2 bedroom...some have 1 bath and some have 2 baths. Each cabin also has a sleeper sofa.
The other option that we have is to rent the River House that holds a maximum of 28 people and has some amenities that may be of interest to the group. We have a little bit of time, but if we want to book the house I need to let them know pretty quick.
