Pretty sure the TR6 models were called Trophy's in the States as well. Like here they became Tigers in the early 70's like you said Bruce.

Some where along the line they called them Trophybirds in reference to the inclusion of some thunderbird parts, then they shortened it to Trophy ,I had a Ex Police 650 Saint in the 60s, I bought it from Burling & Simmons in Auburn ,Dad lent me the money because he didn't like hire purchase as they called it in those days.

That primary case looks older than 1969. Looks like it would tidy up nicely. Mabey some original length fork legs would be a start. I went through a stage where I had 6inch over on my 72 Tiger. Don't know what I was thinking I have photo's of it with them fitted but I keep them to myself. It's not a good look.

True story .. I bought a 1969 650 Bonnie from this Scots bloke in Woodridge .. had BRG Dunstall tank and seat .. clip-ons and 8 inch over legs .. the ugliest 650 I have ever seen. Restored it to near standard and then cops took it as it had been stolen back in the early 70's. Traced the original owner through Allan Chance (he'd enhanced the engine ) got a stat dec from the original owner stating the bike had been returned in pieces to him. Pricks returned it to me with acid stains down the frame and all over the crankcase and primary .. looking for traces of a numbers job they reckoned. The fact I was 12 or 13 when bike was pinched didn't stop the arseholes treating me like the thief .. little wonder I don't like cops
