Odometer doesn't work

Hi All.

I have problem with my odometer on my Rocket Classic.
I had o battery disconnected for few months as bike wasn't used. When I connected it again the odometer dropped the milage from 6800 to obout 800mil.
After few rides when it was just about to rich 1000mil it jumped on 999999 and it stucked. Speedo works fine and also on Trips mode it works fine.
Can any body help please, any suggestions?

Usually when the odometer / trip meters start losing their mind, it's a sign of impending doom for the speedo. Best bet is to start looking for a previously loved one. I bought a nice set on eat-me-bay for $400.
