Just picked up a 2008 standard a couple of weeks back and I am absolutely stoked to start riding once the weather turns. I'm from Vancouver up in Canada and so far have just rode the Rocket once - getting it to my garage after I bought it! But I do go into my garage every day to sit on it and make motorcycle sounds. Great to find this forum and look forward to sharing in your collective Rocket wisdom! All the best and happy holidays!
Welcome Johhny C., hope you don't have to make Rocket noises too long . I asked my dealer down here in the South if the weather got bad could I just ride mine on their dyno for an hour or so and they said sure. Now I'm thinking about a big screen in front of it with highway movies playing and a big fan blowing air. Hmmmmm, indoor batting cages, ski slalom practice, why not indoor winter bike riding??Plenty of Rockets up your way, you'll see.

Wecome from Downunder. Sunny and 35C here today. I'll think of you, especially this evening when it will dip to high teens and she really comes alive. Understand the need for tinkering and bike sounds but perhaps best you not let too many "outsiders" hear you.
