Hi Guys,
The name is Jim & the boss is Ali.
First time on this site. I have just came over from T Rat.Net
We are from a small place called Carrickfergus just outside Belfast in Northern Ireland
I am always 2 up with She who must be obeyed and my trusty stick.
I am 48 and the boss is -- well I better not .
We are lucky enough to have a new ship, Phantom Black & Crystal White. We have just put our first 500 miles up her and can't wait for more.
I would like to have electronic cruise control but $1000 Australian is a bit rich for me.
We have three kids at home that's if you could call 2 of them kids 21 year old boy (man), 17 year old Girl let's say young woman and of course our 11 year old (teenager).
We would like to tour,hence the cruise control.
Nice to see more sites for Rocket 3 owners.
Anyway enough from me.

Glad you got the phantom black, cause they're faster,
or as STB says about her black an white Rocket,
it goes fast in stealth mode....
My wife wants to paint her Rocket white,,,
Why?
i don't know, no accounting for taste.
Anyway, welcome aboard from sun baked Oklahoma, U.S.S.A.

Oh yea, post pictures of your bike with Ali on it, or around it,
we're a family friendly site and soliciting pictures for the Rocket calendar....
If your wife is bashful she don't have to be in it,
but we would like to see your bike....
ride safe buddy and what'd you come from, bike wise?
And why a big ugly Rocket?
Don't let these guys try to convince you to put a car tire on it either......
The ones that do that are just plain crazy.....

Thanks for the welcome guys. I came from a Suzuki C800 Intruder (which by the way is looking for a new home). We looked at the Suzuki C1800R.Also others like the VN1700 Voyager & the Classic Tourer and some HD models to.
But when we saw the Rocket Touring, well the rest were history.
As for ugly nah at least we don't think so.
I hope to get some pics on sometime if I can get logged on .

Cruise control

Audiovox 100 cruise works great on the R3. I bought mine at Amazon.com after reading about the install on this site. Cost approx $120.
