Thanks all...

I've come to the conclusion that for me to make this R3 Classic or standard or whatever the proper term for the roadster before it was a roadster that it will look hideous... a Frankenbike.

I bought this very cheaply and have decided to fix it back to stock and flip it.

I've got my eyes open for a Rocket Tourer.

It is one heck of a bike no doubt.

Now that's what I'm Talking about ,indeed you have a bargain there, but if it's not what you want you will spend a lot of money converting it, I would leave it alone, ride it for a while then go for the true love
a bit like what we do with relationships :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky::sneaky::whitstling::whitstling:

Dude it is simple you have a Standard if it has pegs and a single paint job I suspect yours would be Cardinal Red or Jet Black. Just guessing as there were no Classic/s, Classic Tourer's, R3T's or the Roadster in 05. Not to worry though as they are all good. Anyway I think if your wanting to go the Harley look alike style (R3T) and nothing wrong with that as I believe Triumph designed it that way to dig into Harley's customer base. Can't knock them as that's just good business. Anyway Why wait just sell me the bike for 2800 and get a R3T I suggest 2011 or newer. I can throw that bike down in the barn next to my 06 for parts :) I tend to break stuff so I think as a retired hobby I will collect Rocket stuff :D

Personally I like the Rockets better then the R3T, Brute looking and with bug eyes and all but then I am not into Harley's or Harley look a like styling. You keep that thing long enough and you will probably grow to like the bruiser look.
