Hey all. Need some thoughts about some clutch work having done on my 2006 Rocket III custom. Any " experts"??? Dealer telling me something...wanting to discuss. Thanks BigDaveD
Hey Dave from Illinois, I believe you'll find your answers here. The dealer probably said its about a 4 hour job. Pretty close for the first time if you have all the parts. I got most of the wrenchers here knocking a hour off that.
Again welcome to the nut house
I just installed a Barnett Clutch while installing Lush cams and pistons. I'd never done any of it and have to say the clutch was a piece of cake. The hardest part is removing and reinstalling the radiator.
The free manual (got one yet?) and advice here will see you through.
Notes: Larger (I.D.) ring goes in first against anti-judder seat washer and spring.
Reinstall clutch cover. Don’t attempt to wind the spring by over turning the arm (you may have to slightly). The spring is not what returns your lever at the grip. It is the actual clutch springs that do most of that work. The spring on the cover is to ensure you have a bit of slack in the cable. Thanks, again, @warp9.9
