I'm new, so I thought introductions were in order.

My name is Mitch. I live in the Kansas City area. I just got my first ROCKET about 3 weeks ago, a phantom black 2008 standard model. I test rode a Rocket back in 2005 at an open house event, and I have dreamed about owning one ever since. Take my advice and don't test ride one unless you're ready to buy, it can make your life hell.

I'm 29 and have been riding cycles since I was 18. I have owned a lot of different models, mostly sport touring bikes and standards. This is my first cruiser and I'm still getting used to it, but I am digging it big time. At 6 ft 275 lbs (at least) most bikes make me feel like I'm riding a unicycle, but not any more.

No mods done yet, but I am seeing a short windshield, sissy bar, and some new pipes in my near future. I look forward to being a part of the Rocket owners community for a long time, and I will post some pics when I can. Talk to you later.

Hey to the New guys,
Have y'all thought about coming to Maggie valley in Sept?
Seen the thread yet?
Its a genuine rush riding with 20 to 30 Rockets.
Nothing else compares, especially in those mountains.
The accomodations and the hosts are unequaled in customer satisfaction.
The beer was always cold,
the food was always hot,
the company was top notch righteous.
If you can, come, if you can't,
you'll be sorry you missed it.

Welcome to the site and the wonderful world of the rocket 3 . I know what you mean about other bikes feeling small I'm 6 ' 1" and around 250 my rocket fits perfect and I will NEVER sell mine .
