This thread may help. Wilbers competition 643 Install Some guys take out the battery and relays. I taped together two wrenches. Helps to get a look at it from behind with a flashlight.

See RD’s post. I went the relay route. It wasn’t “hard,“ but I wouldn’t want to do it again. I still don’t think the relays are seated properly.
