I agree with @mr hunt a straight pipe shouldn't hurt.

I was saying that the header itself is known to be very restrictive. Tight angles that don't flow well. There are headers that flow better, and are proven to give good gains when added with a better flowing intake (which you already have with the Ramair).

Point taken if i come accross a decent header i will have to invest in it. Thanks for the heads up.
 
Cool, great fun. I bought an 06 standard and the parts guys called it a classic first because it had saddlebags then they called it a roadster when they found out the bags were add ons. the standard and roadster seem to be considered the same at dealerships when shopping acc's. Check powertripp in performance and his downloads and although triumph braggs unlocking 162ft/lbs tq powertripp says the standard motors have produced the most power in stock form on the dyno. Congrats
